A new perspective is coming

LOOK AROUND. FEEL THERE.

The world.
Right now.

Some places you find on a map.
Others, you need someone to show you.

We’re building LookThere: a way to discover places through recent photos, local questions and answers from people who are there.

A LITTLE CLOSER TO EVERYWHERE

Go beyond the pin.

A map tells you where a place is. A person can tell you what it feels like. LookThere will bring the two together, whether you’re planning a trip or simply curious about somewhere far away.

The idea, in three steps

01

Choose a place

Explore the map and find the spot you’re curious about.

02

Ask someone there

How busy is the square? What is the beach like? Where can you find good bread?

03

Share a little of the world

Answer with a few words, a photo, or both. Help someone see the place more clearly.

Small questions.
A bigger picture.

Before you go

“Is the park busy this afternoon?”

When you’re exploring

“Where can I find fresh bread nearby?”

When you’re curious

“What does the view look like today?”

Illustrative questions. The community is not open yet.

We’re getting
the world ready.

LookThere is in development. The public map, community accounts and photo sharing are not open yet. This is the first chapter.

A few things to know

What is LookThere?

A community project connecting questions, photos and answers to places on a map. The aim is to help people discover what a place is like through those who know it.

Can I join or post a photo now?

Not yet. We’re testing the experience before opening it to the public. This page has no public registration or photo upload.

Is it a live camera or a verified information service?

No. The idea is to share contributions from people. Photos and answers may become outdated and are not guaranteed real-time information.

How can I get in touch?
